All orders shipping to Canada are subject to duties, taxes and other fees assessed by the Canadian government.


We offer several options for orders shipping to Canada, including Import Fees prepaid options. Import Fees include all duties, taxes and related administrative expenses to send the goods to your "ship to" location.


When selecting Import Fees prepaid shipping methods, an Import Fee will be added to your total billed at Checkout. You will be charged a fee equivalent to the duties, taxes and other applicable cross-border fees when you place your order.


By selecting Import Fees prepaid shipping methods, the total billed at Checkout is guaranteed. You won’t have to pay anything additional at the time of delivery. If you return your items, these fees are refundable if eligible.


By selecting Import Fees due upon delivery shipping methods, you are responsible for paying all duties, taxes and other fees assessed by the Canadian government. Import Fees will be assessed upon delivery and are nonrefundable.


When you place an international order, you authorize our broker to act as your agent to submit shipments to customs and other regulatory agencies for clearance. For orders shipping to Canada, title to the items in your order is transferred from UO to you when your credit card is charged and your items are transferred to a common carrier for shipment. The transfer of risk of loss from UO to you and legal delivery with respect to the items in your order occurs upon the transfer of your items to a common carrier for shipment to you. This transfer of title does not affect our returns policy, available here.

By ordering goods from UO, I hereby authorize Asendia chosen by UO to act as my agent, and to transact business with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to clear my merchandise, account for duties and taxes, to return merchandise to UO, and prepare and submit refund claims on my behalf for any merchandise that I return. I understand that the CBSA will send any refund of duties and taxes that were paid on the returned merchandise to the broker, and that I will obtain the refund directly from UO. Further, I also authorize the customs broker to endorse any refund cheque issued by the CBSA in my name, so that UO can be reimbursed.

Canada Return Instructions

1. Click here to return your order with a pre-paid shipping label.
   2. Include the packing list from the original order and place it in a securely sealed shipping container.
   3. Drop your package in the mailbox or at a Canada Post location. There is no postage required, but a return fee of CA$5.00 will be deducted from your refund.
   4. We will email you when your return is processed.
   
   Please note, you may also return your merchandise to any store located in the US or Canada. A $5 restocking fee will be deducted from your refund for most mailed returns.

As of 1 July 2021, UO is required to collect VAT on all orders valued at EUR 150 or less imported into Europe. VAT rates by EU country can be found here.

As of 1 December, 2019, UO is required to collect 15% New Zealand GST on all orders valued at NZ$1,000 or less imported into New Zealand.

As of 1 July, 2018, UO is required to collect 10% Australian GST on all orders valued at A$1,000 or less imported into Australia.

Return Instructions:

1. Place the items you are returning, along with your packing list, in a securely sealed shipping container. Don’t forget to save a copy of your order number for your records – you can find it in the upper left-hand corner of your packing list.


2. Make sure any old labels on your package are removed or obscured and affix your shipping label.
